Guru Tattawas and Guru Mahima
রুদ্রযামলে –
অনন্তর গুরু ও শিষ্যের কর্ত্তাব্যাকর্ত্তব্য কথিত হইতেছে। – রুদ্রযামলে কথিত আছে, যে, – কদাচ গুরুর আজ্ঞা লঙ্ঘন করিবে না এবং সহসা কোন বাক্যের প্রত্যুত্তর প্রদান করাও উচিত নহে। দিবানিশি দাসের ন্যায় গুরুর আজ্ঞা প্রতিপালন করিবে।।
সারসংগ্রহে –
লিখিত আছে, যে, – সদ্ গুরু আশ্রিত শিষ্যকে একবৎসর পর্য্যন্ত পরীক্ষা করিয়া তৎপরে মন্ত্র প্রদান করিবে। কিন্তু স্বপ্নলব্ধ মন্ত্রে কালাকাল বিবেচনার আবশ্যক নাই। যেরূপ অমাত্যকৃত পাপ রাজায় এবং পত্নীকৃত পাপ পতিতে সংক্রান্ত হয়, তদ্রূপ গুরুও শিষ্যকৃত পাপে অভিভূত হইয়া থাকেন। এক বৎসরে ব্রাহ্মণ, দুই বৎসরে ক্ষত্রিয়, তিন বৎসরে বৈশ্য এবং চারি বৎসরে শূদ্রশিষ্য-যোগ্যতা প্রাপ্ত হয় ।।
কুলার্ণবে –
কথিত আছে, যে, – যদি কোন স্থানে গুরুর নিন্দা শ্রুতিগোচর হয়, তাহা হইলে কর্ণদ্বয় আবৃত করিয়া তৎক্ষণাৎ তথা হইতে দূরে গমন করিবে, যেন আর সেই সকল দুর্বাক্য কর্ণগোচর হইতে না পারে।
বৃহন্নীলতন্ত্রে –
লিখিত আছে, যে, – গুরুর অভাবে গুরুপত্নীর অর্চ্চনা করিবে। তাঁহার অভাবে গুরুপুত্র, গুরুপুত্রের অভাবে গুরুকন্যা, গুরুকন্যার অভাবে গুরুস্নুষা এবং এই সকলের অভাবে গুরুবংশীয় অপরের পূজা করিবে। যদি তদ্ধংশীয়গণেরও অভাব হয়, তাহা হইলে গুরুর মাতামহ, মাতূল ও মাতুলানীর পূজা করিতে হয়।।
